Keep the useful kit reachable, not buried under weekend luggage
Warm-weather travel often means more clutter in the car: picnic bags, extra clothes, pushchairs, sports gear or shopping. That is exactly why a useful roadside kit should not disappear under everything else. If you carry a breakdown kit, keep it somewhere you can reach without unpacking the whole boot at the roadside. If you also keep a window breaker and seatbelt cutter, place it in the cabin where the driver or front passenger can get to it quickly.
The goal is simply to make sure the things that help in a delay or breakdown are accessible when you actually need them. On a warm Saturday, that usually means water, phone power, a small cleaning cloth, and a practical roadside kit within easy reach.
